Saints Row: The Third Review

Saints Row is a sandbox game that was first released in 2006 and had a huge sucess. It's main goal was to compete with the Grand Theft Auto serie while giving the player a more goofy experience. A few years later, Saints Row 2 is released, with an even goofier adventure and with tons of fun stuff to do. Last year, in 2011, Saints Row The Third is released, and the developpers promised a game filled with insanity and hilarious moments. Insanity? Yes. Hilarious moments? Maybe.

Pong is 40 years old!!

This week is the week that pong celebrates it's 40 year!
Pong was a huge sucess in the arcade games back in 1972, developped by Atari. The same year, the game became so popular Atari made a home console version of the game. It's hard to believe you would want to play a whole evening playing this with your buddy with a couple of beers!! But time changes, and so do we.

Battlefield 3 Review

It had been six long years since DICE had released their multi awards winning modern shooter Battlefield 2.
Battlefield 2 set the bar higher for all military first person shooters in 2005 and since then, a lot of competitors tried to surpass it and resulted in a lot of failures. Six years later, Dice finally released a direct sequel to Battlefield 2, except for the in-between Battlefield Bad Company 1 and 2. It's called Battlefield 3 and they could not have picked a better name for the game. On to the review!

Grand Theft Auto 4 Review

The Grand Theft Auto serie has been the pioneer of sandbox games, or open world games, since it's first release in 1997, Grand Theft Auto. Since then, all the Grand Theft Auto games put the bar a little higher for the sandbox games criterias. Grand Theft Auto 1,2,3,Vice City, San Andreas and the last one, Grand Theft Auto 4.GTA San Andreas was a huge success, giving the player a new meaning to the world freedom, letting him do things never in any game before he could have done. But does GTA 4 fill the expectations made to millions of gamers?Well....

                                      

Super Mario 64 Review

How could we talk about the nintendo 64 without mentioning Super Mario 64, starring the great mustache-wearing plumber himself, Mario.


Having made his first appearance in 1982's arcade game Donkey Kong, Mario was then known as Jumpman, because all he could do was jump to avoid the barrels Donkey Kong was throwing at him. The game instantly became a huge sucess, which led on to the Super Mario Bros serie that started in 1985 with super mario bros.

An introduction about this blog

Hey there internet people. I'm brand new to the blogging business but I decided to make this blog for one simple reason and I'll do it the best I can : Review video games with as much honesty as possible. Today's most popular game reviewers such as ign,gamespot or others are not always right on when it comes to reviewing video games, especially when they review big titles like battlefield, halo, call of duty, assassin's creed, need for speed, etc. So starting from now on,I'll review all sorts of video games ranging from the snes to the n64, the gamecube, xbox360, ps2, ps3 and so on. I am NOT a collector and there is a LOT of video game systems I do not own. If this goes well, I might plan on acquiring more gaming sytems and video games but for now I'll stick to reviewing the video games that I possess and the ones I'll acquire in the future. Right now, the major gaming systems in my life are the SNES and the PS3.

Remember though, if you have a game you would like reviewed and that I don't have in my possession, e-mail me at bananefolless@hotmail.fr and I'll be more than happy to see if I can acquire it then review it.
